Employers receive up to $27,400.00 per Employee in a New Incentive Program

WorkCover NSW has just announced an exciting New Employment Allowance available to ALL Employers!

AW Workwise is pleased to advise that WorkCover NSW has launched a major incentive for employers looking to recruit.
You can take advantage of a new wage incentive program by assisting injured workers ready to return to work.
Programs of this magnitude and financial savings have never previously been offered.
From July 1st new employers are eligible for the following:

Major Wage Subsidy

A generous employment allowance for employers hiring a person who has previously sustained a workplace injury, with the opportunity to gain the following funding:

$400 per week for the first 12 weeks of employment ($4800 available)
$500 per week for the next 14 weeks of employment ($7000 available)
$600 per week for the next 26 weeks of employment ($15 600 available)

That's a total of $27,400.00 available to employers over a 12 month period.

Additionally employers are able to receive added benefits, such as:

Premium Exemption

For employers who take up this program, the wages which you pay the worker for the first 2 years of employment will not be included into your Workers' Compensation premium calculations for 2 years – this means no additional WorkCover premium for the increased wages.

No additional costs for the worker for the first 24 months of employment.

Second Injury Costs

Your concern for related injury costs can be forgotten.

Employers taking up this program are protected against costs of an aggravation, recurrence or exacerbation of an existing injury for the first two years of employment.
